Driver
No, if properly registered as a care home minibus; we can support you on this.
Most care home minibuses do not cover great mileage in any one journey, and thus the
electric vehicle range is suitable in most instances. There is a significant premium for electric
vehicles though, and as yet not that many in the marketplace, so cost and supply need to be
considered. The annual mileage for the great majority of care home minibuses is also quite
low, meaning that the cost premium can take some years to recover, if at all.
Yes. We will make sure that all safety packs, straps and wheelchair restraints are present,
as well as tools for cutting seatbelts, a hammer to break glass, and first aid kit and fire extinguishers, both of which will be in date. We can also replace any of these items if worn, faulty or out of date to keep your existing vehicles safe and complaint for your staff and
residents.
Dependent upon where we purchase pre-owned vehicles from can mean that some that
have been in private hands are not subject to VAT.
Anyone with a full UK licence gained prior to January 1997 can drive a minibus up to 16
seats. Anyone who gained a standard category B car licence after this time can drive a
minibus of up to 9 seats, if they are over 21 years of age, have had a driving licence for at
least 2 years, and if over 70 years of age meet the ‘Group 2’ medical standards.
Yes, through our dedicated training partner, who can be booked direct to deliver this safety training.
We do not have a driver training service, but can arrange a provider local to your relevant location to support those staff members who will be required to drive the minibus. As we generally provide small to medium-sized vehicles they are generally not dissimilar to SUVs and MPVs.

Fleet Management
Just call our main customer service number and we can help with fault identification,
attendance to the vehicle and recovery to a garage as required. If you have residents aboard
we can even assist with arranging a local taxi company with wheelchair accessible vehicles
to collect your passengers and return them safely to the care home.
Yes. Again, just a single call to the customer service number and we can arrange vehicle recovery and subsequent repairs.
In most circumstances, yes, based upon availability if there has been a high demand. We
can provide you with a similar wheelchair accessible vehicle at a much more cost-effective
rate than hiring a vehicle from a mainstream rental provider.
Yes. You can call us any day of the week including evenings to report a fault, breakdown,
or accident.
Yes, our management service takes all of that stress away from your operational staff to
ensure that we proactively advise when a vehicle service is due, help schedule that in with a
local garage to minimise disruption, and deal with replacement items such as tyres. No works are commissioned on your behalf without your full written approval.
Yes, as part of the management service as above; we will also proactively manage statutory testing to ensure that your minibuses remain compliant, operational and up-to-date. We will arrange scheduling with the care home, and seek written approval for any required works emanating from the MoT or LOLER test.
We keep detailed records on your entire fleet to ensure that we proactively advise you of and manage such matters as the servicing, and the MoT and LOLER tests. So at any time, we
can advise which vehicles are out of commission, which vehicles are due for a compliance test or service within the coming month(s), and the current mileages and vehicle usage over
time. We can therefore provide an ROI profile to evidence the need for a minibus at any given location, or propose vehicle reallocation between sites to even out usage patterns.
We can provide a varying level of warranty cover to meet your requirements.
Of course. If you already have allocated resource within your organisation to handle the fleet management requirements then we are more than happy to supply vehicles only.
Services
No, this is a completely free of charge and no commitment service, to help you in your decision-making about how best to take your fleet forward cost-effectively.
Yes, and as above there is no charge for this service, to help you decide on the optimum route for the future of your fleet.
Yes. As part of the assessment of any existing fleet, we can advise if it would be
commercially viable to refurbish any of your vehicles as opposed to replacing them. This can
be a most cost-effective option to extend the lifespan and usage of an existing asset. The
refurbishment options apply to the both interior and exterior, and can often bring an older
minibus back to a more pleasing condition and safety for your staff and residents to enjoy.
